MedHub Highlights 2009 Scheduled Releases v6.0, v6.1 & v7.0

As part of our ongoing commitment to constant system improvements and robust functional enhancements, MedHub provides three releases per year: 2 minor, 1 major.
 
For 2009, MedHub v6.0 & v 6.1 (supplemental releases) focus on client recommendations and overall internal system improvements. MedHub v 7.0 (annual major release) includes robust system enhancements that significantly extend system capabilities

    Educational:
 
  • Learning/Educational module creation tools
  • Testing and Survey tools
  • Full Medical Student and Allied Health professional functionality - ability to place other trainees on schedules for evaluation delivery, document delivery, demographic management. Extremely low cost universal training platform for institutions utilizing all functionality.
 
    Duty Hours:
 
  • Enhanced absence approval process - notifies attending faculty responsible for a particular shift or continuity clinic of an absence request.
  • New completely graphical duty hour input interface
  • "Smart" duty hours pre-population
  • Cross-referencing duty hours with home calls
  • Duty hours statistics for improved PIF response - (Ex. longest work period over date range) 
 
    Learning Portfolios:
 
  • Faculty access to journal entries and CV to generate 'Program-wide CV'
  • Administrator access to populate journal entries
  • Resident ability to include/redact entries in their dynamically generated CV
  • Resident ability to export all portfolio activity at the conclusion of training

    GME/Finance/Auditing Enhancements:
 
  • GME physician payment tracking: For institutions near their cap the physician payment functionality would allow an institution to potentially claim reimbursement for trainees going to other non-hospital sites under certain specific conditions. The difference between the training physicians' remuneration and being able to fully claim the trainee on IRIS could be substantial.
  • Fiscal Intermediary/Auditor log in: An auditor log in to MedHub  that would make available to them all essential documentation in read-only format AFTER IRIS has been generated.
  •  A tool to determine overlaps with affiliated institutions.
  • Internal billing functions:  (separate from affiliated billing - VA, etc.) - Ability to define internal funding sources and calculate activity-based FTE for reimbursement to programs, DPU's or other internal entities.
  • VA login to view bills and supporting rotational activity (setting)
  • "Annual Program Reviews" - Internal ranking of residency and fellowship programs based upon internal metrics and quality measures defined by the institution and applied institution-wide.
  • Institutional-wide quality measure comparisons by program/faculty
  • More flexibility to allow institutions to define site visit and internal review attributes.
  • GME defined alert workflow around LOA's, license expirations, etc.
