The announcement was made at the Association of American Medical Colleges’ (AAMC) Annual Meeting, which took place Nov. 6-12 in Baltimore. MedHub previously spoke about its recent acquisition by Ascend Learning and combination of the two businesses – MedHub and eValue – at its Annual User Conference, which was hosted by the Cleveland Clinic in mid-September.
Today, more than 85,000 undergraduate and graduate medical students’ clinical training is now managed on a MedHub platform, along with nearly 100,000 students who are preparing for a career in the advanced practice healthcare fields of pharmacy, nursing, veterinary, dentistry, physician assistant, and other allied health specialties. “This is a powerful combination,” continued Gagne. “By combining these two organizations, we are now uniquely positioned to provide institutions with solutions that streamline program administration, improve learning outcomes, and ensure institutional oversight and accreditation.”
The newly combined company will operate as MedHub moving forward. Its product suite includes the MedHub and eValue healthcare education management solutions that are currently being used by more than 600 clients, and leveraged by 80 of the 119 academic health centers across the United States.
